What can you expect?
The glucose sensor continuously measures blood sugar levels and records them automatically. The sensor, which was introduced to the market in 2018, was specifically developed for diabetics as an alternative to finger pricking. It is now also being used by people who want to control their weight, sleep better, gain more energy, and feel sharper mentally.
Your sugar metabolism is influenced by various factors such as your diet, the amount of exercise and sports, alcohol intake, stress levels, caffeine use, sleep quality, exposure to toxic substances, inflammation, and genetic predisposition. During the continuous monitoring of your blood glucose over a period of 14 days, you will learn which of these factors affect your blood glucose levels and what the effects are on your energy levels and weight. Additionally, you will discover the health benefits of maintaining stable blood glucose levels in your body
During the first consultation, the sensor is applied and you receive an explanation about its operaties and the connection process. After 4 to 7 days a second consultation- the intervention consultation - takes place. There the data from the first period are discussed, and you receive advice for the approach to the second period. After 14 days, a progress consultation is held, where the data from the first and second periods are compared to map out your progress. The appointments for the second and third consultation are scheduled during your first session at the lab, in coordination with our dietitian. These consultations can also be held online.
This monitoring is suitable for people who have been struggling with being overweight for a long time, have a long history of dieting, and where a low-calorie diet does not lead to fat loss. This analysis is also valuable for individuals with unhealthy eating and exercise habits, limited knowledge about nutrition, or a tendency towards excessive sugar intake. Lastly, it is also beneficial for people who want to proactively work on their health by increasing their knowledge about nutrition, improving their energy levels, or maintaining stable energy levels.
